🍀 A very warm welcome to the first online session of doubt clearing in AstroSatvaCourses.com for Learning Vedic Astrology Step By Step.
My name is Aman Deep Saini & I think, most of you know me. All of you have been going through the course. It is eleven O’clock and more students will be joining the live session. Before I move forward, I would ask for your experiences, what you have learnt so far from the course. If the course is good, bad, you want to suggest some improvements in that, weather this online astrology course is adding some value to your learning.
We can move forward accordingly. I have received a couple of queries from some students. That’s a huge list. We will take questions one by one from that list and try to solve your queries. I will try to answer all your queries.
GETTING TOUGH – OK Santosh! Astrology is not always easy, but it is not tough also. Follow the course material. If you always follow whatever the course text material is shared on learning Vedic astrology step by step, and first understand. First you have to learn a lot of things. After those things are learnt, it is easy to implement.
You are quite correct, Santosh. You will have to push. You will have to push yourself. Again, since it is new for you, it will initially take some time. And you will definitely get to that level, where you will remember a lot of things by heart. From that point onwards, whenever you try to analyze some horoscope and you apply the principles, you will get the answers.
Another thing that I want to ask you is, that I developed this course in English. There was a specific reason behind it.
THIS IS REALLY INTERESTING, BUT I FIND IT DIFFICULT TO REMEMBER THE CONCEPTS – Yes Ashish! With time, when you apply those principles on hundreds of horoscopes, when you refer to your notes regularly, and try to analyze all the horoscopes, then it will just reside in your subconscious mind and that is the stage that everyone here would like to achieve. And you will also definitely get there.
So what I was talking about is that I developed this course in English language for a purpose that there is a larger audience outside India. My intention is to spread the world about astrology, so that they (students outside India) can also learn about astrology. They can know about Indian system of astrology by joining the online astrology course with certificate.
And to some extent, I have been successful. The fundamental astrology course has students from twenty five countries. And that has only been possible, because the course is in English language. The other introductory courses that were developed (Vedic Astrology-Introduction to signs, houses and planets), students from seventy six countries have enrolled themselves for that course. ADDING SOME EXAMPLE AFTER THE CONCEPT TO MAKE IT MORE UNDERSTANDABLE WILL BE USEFUL – Yes! We will take up a lot of examples. HOW DO WE DETERMINE THE BENEFICS AND MALEFICS IN A KUNDLI? WHETHER IT DEPENDS ON THE RASHIS PLACED IN A HOUSE OR THE STARS PLACED IN A HOUSE – When we say stars, I believe you mean planets. Because planets are rotating in the zodiac, and stars, we refer them as nakshatras. नक्षत्र को हम star बोलते हैं। determining the benefics and malefics is the first step. पहला step हमारा यही है। let me bring up a horoscope. This is a random horoscope for today’s prashna chart. When you say benefics and malefics identification, first of all, we have to remember the mooltrikona (मूल त्रिकोण) sign of all the planets. That is the crux of systems approach astrology.
हमें मालूम है कि planets राशियों को rule करते हैं। कुछ planets एक राशि को rule करते हैं, जैसे कि सूर्य और चन्द्रमा। कुछ planets दो राशियों को rule करते हैं। For example, अगर हम शुक्र का example लेते हैं, VENUS. Taurus, यानि कि वृषभ, और Libra, यानि कि तुला। शुक्र इन दो राशियों का स्वामी है, और इन को rule करता है। लेकिन शुक्र का मूल त्रिकोण sign तुला (libra) है।
इसी तरह से बृहस्पति (Jupiter) – Sagittarius (धनु) and Pisces (मीन), इन दो राशियों को rule करता है। लेकिन Sagittarius (धनु) is the mooltrikona sign of Jupiter. So mooltrikona has the answer to your question. Now we also know that the sixth house, eighth house and twelfth house (please see on my screen) 6th, 8th and 12th houses. छठा घर जहां पर तुला राशि है, आठवां घर जहां पर धनु राशि है, और बारहवां घर जहां पर मेष राशि है। अगर छह आठ और बारह में कहीं भी किसी भी गृह की मूलत्रिकोण की राशि है, उस राशि का स्वामी unfavorable होगा।
अब इस horoscope में अगर हम देखें, छठे घर में तुला राशि है, जो कि Venus का mooltrikona sign है। तो शुक्र वृषभ लगन वालों के लिए unfavorable माना जाएगा। आठवें घर में धनु राशि है जो कि मूलत्रिकोण है, बृहस्पति का, तो बृहस्पति वृषभ लगन वालों के लिए unfavorable माना जाएगा। बारहवें घर में मेष (Aries) राशि है। Aries sign is ruled by Mars (मंगल)। मंगल वृषभ लगन वालों के लिए unfavorable माना जाएगा। बाकी सारे ग्रहों को हम benefic मानेंगें। This is how we can identify the benefics and malefics in a kundli.
To make it clearer, let’s take another example. Let’s take a new prashna chart. This is Gemini (मिथुन राशि) ascendant. छठे घर में Scorpio (वृश्चिक) है। वृश्चिक किसी भी ग्रह का मूलत्रिकोण sign नहीं है। मंगल इस को rule जरूर करता है, लेकिन मंगल का मूलत्रिकोण मेष है। तो छठे घर में कोई मूल त्रिकोण नहीं है। आगे बढ़ते हैं।
आठवें घर में मकर है, मूल त्रिकोण नहीं है। बारहवें घर में वृषभ है, मूलत्रिकोण नहीं है। 6, 8, 12 किसी भी घर में मूलत्रिकोण राशि नहीं है। तो राहु (Rahu) और केतु (Ketu) को छोड़ कर सारे ग्रह favorable हैं। राहु (Rahu) और केतु (Ketu) को हम generally unfavorable मानते है और यह specific cases में अच्छा result देते हैं, जो कि अच्छे detail में हमने course में cover किया है। किसी समय राहु केतु को हम doubt clearing sessions में भी अलग से cover कर लेंगे। जहाँ तक identification of favorable – unfavorable की बात है, 6, 8, 12 में कहीं भी mooltrikona आ गया तो उसका स्वामी unfavorable, बाकी सारे favorable (in short).
मारक concept is a classical concept and so there is a slight difference. System Approach के concepts में, और classical के concepts में। मेरी ये request है कि आप classical के concepts को इस के साथ mix न करें, जल्दी समझ पाएंगे।
MAARAK HOUSE LORDS ARE ALWAYS UNFAVORABLE, EVEN IF EXALTED, OR IS THIS JUST GENERAL EXPLANATION OF BENEFICS AND MALEFICS – Yes! That is a general explanation. Classical में काफी ज्यादा आपको general explanation मिलेगी, for example – Maarak house concept, for example – Sade-Sati (साढ़े साती) concept, for example – Manglik (मांगलिक) concept. Generally अगर आप देखेंगे, अगर मांगलिक concept से जाएंगे, तो बहुत सारे लोगों को problem होनी चाहिए। पर कहीं होती है – कहीं नहीं होती। Where is the answer? Answer lies in the functional nature of the planet. And when we talk about identification of benefic and malefic with the perspective of systems approach astrology, we get the answer learning Vedic astrology step by step. That is where we say that this is the functional nature. In that horoscope, how the planet is going to function? That is why the term “functional nature” is used. If it is the sixth lord, sixth lord means its mooltrikona is falling in the sixth house. Then functionally, it is unfavorable. Like in this horoscope, mooltrikona of Mars is falling in the 11th house, so Mars is functionally favorable planet for the native. अब उसकी strength कितनी है, उसके ऊपर और impact कितने पड़ रहे हैं, that will govern whether उसका जो result है, किस level तक उस इंसान को मिलने वाला है।
HOW DO WE DETERMINE POWER OF MOON IN THE KUNDLI? WHETHER MOON IS WEAK, NORMAL OR STRONG – the answer that I replied in the upper section will apply on any planet.
CAN WE TAKE IN A HOROSCOPE 6, 8, 12 ADHIPATIS, EVEN IF THEY ARE SHUBH GREHS – Yes! Jupiter, Venus, Mercury. Those are the general significations. General nature of the planet you are talking about. Jupiter भी, जैसे हम ने Taurus का example लिया था, पिछला example, जहां पर 8th house में Jupiter का sign था, so Jupiter was unfavorable. That can be taken up like that.
Determine the power of any planet, not only moon. There is a set process to identify the strength of any planet. You can identify the strength of moon as well, applying that principle. How do we do that? For example, in this horoscope, you want to identify the strength of moon. पहली चीज़ कि ग्रह बाल्यावस्था या वृद्धावस्था में नहीं होना चाहिए। मतलब 5 डिग्री से नीचे और 25 डिग्री से ऊपर नहीं होना चाहिए, अगर उसमे strength है तो। यहाँ पर 5 डिग्री से ऊपर है, तो moon infancy में नहीं है (moon old age में नहीं है)। Degree wise, moon is in strength. इसके अलावा उसके mooltrikona sign पर कोई affliction नहीं होनी चाहिए। अब यहाँ पर 19 degree का लगन है और systems approach (SATVA) में most effective point of the horoscope (MEP) का concept most important है। In Gemini ascendant chart, 6, 8, 12 में कहीं भी कोई मूलत्रिकोण sign नहीं है। तो except Rahu and Ketu, सारे planets favorable हैं।
जब आप chapter 8 practice करेंगे, तो उस में आपको systems approach के सारे rules cover होते हैं, और सब से लम्बा और important chapter 8 ही है।
सबसे पहले हम Most Effective Point (MEP) का concept समझें – कि जो rising degree हमारे horoscope में है, 19 degree, this is called the Most Effective Point (MEP) of the entire horoscope. सारे घरों में 19 डिग्री के आस पास जो जो planets बैठे हैं, उन का उन houses पर, और जहाँ जहाँ उन का aspect होगा, वहां पर maximum impact होगा।
यहाँ पर हम ने एक random horoscope लिया हुआ है, जिस में 19 degree is the rising degree. So 19 degree is the MEP of this horoscope. 2nd house, जहाँ cancer sign placed है, which is the mooltrikona sign of moon, (moon governs cancer) और इस house पर 17 degrees का जो केतु है (let me mark it for you) it is afflicting the second house by its 9th aspect. So the mooltrikona sign of moon (चन्द्रमा का मूल त्रिकोण sign) house is afflicted. That is why moon is weak in this horoscope. Strength of moon is identified by the afflictions on its mooltrikona sign on its house of placement. अब जहाँ पर चंद्रमा बैठा है, वहाँ भी केतु का impact इम्पैक्ट है, तो यह इन सारे ग्रहों को कमज़ोर करेगा।
अब हम एक अलग example लेते हैं। Let me take up another example. Let’s open any other case study. Actually, I am working on the 2nd course, the advanced course, and these are the case studies from those courses. So in this horoscope, अगर यहां पर हमें चन्द्रमा की strength निकालनी है, (random horoscope), Moon is 29 degrees, 49 minutes. Utter old age. Moon is rendered weak because of its old age. चन्द्रमा यहां पर weak है। Secondly, Rahu from 27 degrees is afflicting this moon by its ninth aspect. राहु से चंद्रमा को जो affliction है, यह further चन्द्रमा को weak कर रहा है। Secondly, rising degree 10 degree है, जहां पर 8th lord जो कि most malefic planet Mercury is placed. So mercury is afflicting its house of placement. So moon जिस घर में बैठा है, उस घर में भी affliction है। Moon is again weak. So to identify the strength of any planet in this horoscope, we have to ascertain. If the malefic planets are also afflicting moon, then that also will destroy the strength of moon. किसी भी ग्रह से आ सकती है malefic influence. इस case में राहु से आ रही है। अब अगर Mercury भी यहाँ 28° का होता, तो mercury से भी moon पर affliction आती, और moon से भी mercury को जाती, क्योंकि इस horoscope में दोनों unfavourable हैं। This is how you have to identify. और इसी तरह से आप किसी भी ग्रह की favourable – unfavourable निकाल सकते हैं कि उसके ऊपर क्या impact है। उस की strength calculate कर सकते हैं।
1st Strength निकालने के लिए सबसे पहले ग्रह का degree wise strong होना most important है। Whether it is in infancy or old age or strong by degrees.
Secondly, वह अपने debilitation sign में तो नहीं है?
3rd, नवमांश में तो debilitated नहीं है?
Fourth, उसके मूलत्रिकोण पर तो कोई affliction नहीं है?
5th, जिस घर में वो planet बैठा है, वहां तो कोई affliction नहीं है?
6th, जिस घर में वो बैठा है, अगर वह mooltrikona sign है, तो उसका जो lord है, that means the dispositor of that planet, उस की क्या condition है?
Learning Vedic astrology step by step, जब आप ये principles apply करते हैं, then you can identify the strength of any planet. Now if we leave apart moon in this horoscope, and take the example of Saturn, शनि जो कि लगनेश है, लगन का स्वामी है, 6° – more than 5°, strong by degrees. लगन पर कोई negative impact है? नहीं है । राहु का 9th aspect है, but that is quite wide. 10° के ascendant में 27° का राहु is not going to negatively impact the ascendant. तो शनि के मूल त्रिकोण house पर कोई affliction नहीं है। शनि खुद degree wise strong है। शनि जहां बैठा है, उस घर पर किसी planet की affliction नहीं है। शनि अपने debilitation sign में नहीं है। नवमांश में शनि debilitated नहीं है। तो शनि strong है। Moreover, शनि यहाँ पर Most Effective Point (MEP) के 5° orbit में है। 10° का हमारा ascendant है, 6° का शनि। 4° दूर बैठा है।
और यहां से favorable aspect Saturn का ascendant में जा रहा है। By its 10th aspect, you start counting from here – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. It is giving its favorable aspect to the 6th house, to the 10th house. तो profession में, job में, आदमी की personality में, सब जगह शनि का major योगदान रहने वाला है। If we talk about the strength of this planet, this is how you will identify. I think now it is clear. Can we move forward?
WHEN THERE ARE MULTIPLE PLANETS PLACED IN A SINGLE HOUSE, THEN HOW DO WE DETERMINE WHICH ONE OF THEM WILL RULE THAT HOUSE – If we talk about the ruling or Lordship of the house, lordship तो उस के मूलत्रिकोण sign से ही पता चलेगी। अब यहाँ पर नौवें घर में तीन ग्रह बैठे हैं। लेकिन इस घर का lord शुक्र ही रहेगा, क्योंकि शुक्र इस को rule करता है। बाकी planets का उस घर में बैठने की वजह से, उस house में placement की वजह से, उस house पर impact जरूर होगा, but अगर हम specifically term “Lordship” use करें, तो वह Venus की रहेगी। यहाँ इस chart में Mercury का Impact Venus से ज्यादा है, अगर हम example की बात करते हैं क्योंकि Mercury MEP पर placed है। कोई भी planet Most Effective Point के कितना नजदीक है और कितना दूर है, that will govern its impact on that house. Similarly अब जब यहाँ Mercury MEP पर placed है, और सातवां aspect तीसरे पर देगा, तो तीसरे पर भी Mercury का aspect सब से ज़यादा होगा। पर मंगल के बाद – क्योंकि मंगल तीसरे घर का स्वामी है, तो उस का impact तीसरे घर पर रहेगा। Lordship इस 3rd house पर Mars की ही रहेगी। But impact वहां पर Mercury का ज्यादा रहेगा क्योंकि वह MEP के नजदीक है।
ABOUT RAHU AND KETU, WHETHER THEY BENEFIC OR MALEFIC BY THEIR POSITION IN THE KUNDLI? – Very good question. In this case, Rahu and Ketu are placed in 5th and 11th house. They are well placed. 6, 8, 12 में नहीं हैं तो राहु और केतु भी well placed हैं, चाहे वह malefic हैं। केतु का अगर example लें, Ketu is not afflicting any planet and Ketu is not afflicting any house. 27° का केतु हैं। 5th aspect of Ketu will go to the 3rd house. But MEP पर नहीं है। MEP 10° है। यही अगर केतु 10° का या 10° से 5° नीचे या ऊपर होता, तो इस का impact जरूर होता। और उस case में राहु की भी वही degree होती, तो 6 घर destroy हो जाते। Rahu and Ketu are generally malefic. And they will give good results in exceptional cases. What are those exceptions? That Rahu and Ketu should not be weak by degrees. Rahu and Ketu should not afflict any other planet or house. Then only, they can give good result during their sub periods. अपनी अन्तर्दशा में वो तब अच्छा result देते हैं। इस कुंडली में एक problem यह है, कि राहु ने चन्द्रमा को afflict कर दिया है। तो राहु को अच्छा result नहीं देने वाला। दूसरा, यह दोनों old age में हैं। कोई और example हो जिस में मान लीजिये कि राहु ने चन्द्रमा को afflict कर दिया। तो राहु को अच्छा result नहीं देने वाला। दूसरा यह दोनों old age में हैं। कोई और example हो जिस में मान लीजिये राहु और केतु 15° के हैं, MEP से दूर हैं, अच्छे घर में बैठे हैं, तब अपनी दशा में वो अच्छा result दे देंगे, लेकिन तब भी condition यह है कि अगर transit में उनके affliction आ गयी या किसी malefic की influence आ गयी, तब वो trouble देना start कर देंगे। Generally, they give very bad result, because they are just the shadowy planets, just hidden points in the zodiac, in the north node and south node and they have a lot of negativity in them.
IT IS SAID THAT GENERALLY THE ASPECT OF BENEFIC PLANETS LIKE JUPITER, VENUS, MOON – THE STRENGTHS OF THOSE HOUSES WILL BECOME MORE STRONGER IF THEY ARE BENEFIC – That is the condition in Systems Approach (SATVA). We have to always look at the functional nature of the planet. Generally, they are considered to be benefic, but that concept does not give good result. अगर बृहस्पति favourable है, like in this example horoscope, Jupiter is 11th Lord. It will give good result. If Jupiter is 12th Lord, if Jupiter is 6th, 8th, or 12th lord. Jupiter is 8th Lord, but when I say Jupiter is 6th, 8th, or 12th lord, what I mean is when Sagittarius sign falls in 6th, 8th, or 12th, in those cases, Jupiter’s aspect, if it is coming closer to the MEP or any horoscope, उसका aspect किसी भी ग्रह पर या किसी house पर MEP के नजदीक होगा तो वह उसकी significations को destroy करेगा। Generally, any principles of classicals cannot be applied as is.
MOON THE STRENGTH OF VENUS MOON STRENGTH OF THOSE HOUSES WILL BECOME STRONGER IN CASE GURU ASPECTS 6, 8 AND 12, WHAT WILL BE THE BENEFICIAL POSITION OF THOSE HOUSES – अगर Jupiter हमारा favorable है, और इस case में यह example लीजिये, यहाँ आठवे घर को बृहस्पति की पांचवी दृष्टि पड़ रही है, 17° का बृहस्पति है, 14° के सूर्य को भी देख रहा है, MEP से थोड़ा सा दूर है, अगर MEP पर इस की दृष्टि होगी, आठवें घर पर तो उस की significations को बढ़ाएगा। 8th house, जिस के significations occult signs हैं, research area है, तो उन areas में Jupiter will give the good results. अगर यही Jupiter unfavourable हो कर MEP को impact करेगा, 8th house के, to inheritance को destroy कर देगा, क्योंकि 8th house also governs inheritance. अगर MEP से away उस का impact है और कोई planet भी वहां पर है, तो occult के अंदर unfavourable Jupiter भी अच्छे result दे देगा।
अगर favorable planet अपने house को देखेगा, तो उस का result हमेंशा positive होगा। Unfavorable planet का result positive एक ही condition में आता है कि जैसे अगर इस horoscope में 6th lord चन्द्रमा है, छठे घर का स्वामी है, छठे में बैठा है, तो वह उस की अच्छी placement मानी जायेगी। छठे घर का स्वामी चन्द्रमा बारहवें में बैठ कर छठे को देखेगा, तो destroy करेगा, अगर MEP के नज़दीक देख लिया तो।
I HAVE A DOUBT ABOUT HOW TO ARRIVE AT ASCENDANT – the rising sign, rising at the time of birth at the eastern horizon that is the definition – that we take as ascendant. तो जब आप कुंडली बनाते हैं, उस समय क्या लग्न eastern horizon में चल रहा है। अब यहां पर Aquarius ascendant है। अगर हम अभी का प्रश्न चार्ट create करते हैं, so Gemini is rising at this time. It is very easy to identify. अगर आप का question manual horoscope making से है, तो वह अभी इस course का part नहीं है। वह next level पर आता है। आज की date में उस चीज़ की ज़रूरत ही नहीं है। We will be using software to create the horoscopes, but we will some time cover that area “how to manually make the horoscopes” in the process of learning Vedic astrology step by step.
HOW TO PLACE VARIOUS PLANETS INTO THE CHART IN VARIOUS HOUSES – When you make the horoscope, आपको हर ग्रह का पता होता है, आज वह ग्रह किस राशि में चल रहा है, like if we look at the ephemeris, the planetary position table, this is how we have it. कि 10 तारीख को सूर्य pieces में 25° का होगा, 27 अप्रैल को सूर्य Aries में 12° का होगा, मंगल Gemini में 7° का होगा, बृहस्पति Aquarius में 3° का होगा। Accordingly, you place the planets.
WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED SOFTWARE TO MAKE THE HOROSCOPE – You can use any software. I am using Jyotish tools. I have shared all the information in the course as well. My only recommendation is जो भी software आप use करें, make sure कि उस में degrees जो हैं, planet के आगे लिखी हों। इस से आप की predictive accuracy और आप की analysis करने की जो speed है, वह drastically increase हो जायेगी। For example, let me just mark it like this, where there are no degrees mentioned relative to the planet. अब ऐसा chart मेरे सामने है कि सूर्य दसवें घर में बैठा है, केतु छठे घर में बैठा है, degrees मेरे सामने chart में नहीं हैं। एक अलग table में आ रही हैं। कितनी बार मैं उस table को refer करूंगा? वहीं अगर मेरे सामने एक ऐसा chart है, जिस में planetary positions mentioned हैं horoscope में, और साथ ही degree लिखी हुई है, then it becomes quite easy to identify the problems in the horoscope. अभी यहाँ मुझे पता है की Mercury 17° का है, केतु 17° का है, तो केतु Mercury को afflict कर रहा है। अब आसान हो गया इस चार्ट को देखना। तो आप कोई भी software use कीजिये, make sure कि उस में जब planets की planetary positions placed हों, वहाँ साथ ही degrees लिखी हों। अलग table तो हर software आप को दे देगा। But planet के साथ जहाँ degree लिखी होगी, आप की predictive accuracy बढ़ जाएगी। या फिर थोड़ी मेहनत कीजिये। अगर आप free software use करते हैं, तो एक paper –pen ले कर बैठिये, उस पर अपना horoscope draw कीजिये। उस में planets की placement कीजिये। Chart देख कर degrees लिखिए, और identify कीजिए। Unfavorable को mark करने के लिए लाल रंग का पेन रखिये।
Since Gemini here is not a good example, let me open any other horoscope to show. Suppose we take this horoscope as an example, with Aquarius ascendant. अब आपने किसी भी software में horoscope बनाया। किसी भी software में same horoscope बन कर आएगा आप के सामने। Same degrees का table आएगा आप के सामने। तो paper – pen ले कर उस पर chart draw कीजिये, planets की placement कीजिये। अपने paper पर Planets के आगे ही degree लिखिए। Red pen से unfavorables को mark कीजिये। चन्द्रमा और Mercury 6 और आठवें के स्वामी हैं, unfavorable हैं, उस को लाल से mark कर लीजिये। Red color symbolizes danger. Danger in the life because of the unfavorable functional nature of the planet. जो benefic planets हैं, favourable हैं, लेकिन strong हैं, उन को green से mark कर दीजिये। जो planets weak हैं, उन को और किसी colour से mark कर दीजिये। तो एक identification हो जायेगी। Jyotish Tools में यह हमें automatic मिलता है तो हमारी स्पीड बढ़ जाती है।
इसका एक नुकसान भी है। जब यह color coding हो के आ जाती है, तो people get biased, जो especially नया start करते हैं, अच्छा! यह planet green है, यह तो strong है। इस का result अच्छा आना चाहिए। लेकिन अगर वह transit में weak हो गया, तो उस समय नुकसान दे देगा। अब यह planet weak है। इस का result तो average होगा, लेकिन transit में अगर strength में है, दशा चल रही है, favorable aspect आ रहा है, तो एक biasness भी हमारे पास आ जाती है। The best thing is, if we do it in just black and white. Now if we try to identify, which one is favorable, which one is unfavorable, which one is strong, which one is weak, थोड़ा सा tough हो जाता है।

IF PERSON’S PLANET IS RETROGRADE AND CONJUNCT WITH RAHU / KETU, HOW DOES ONE INTERPRET AS RAHU / KETU ARE FOLLOWING AND NOT CAUSING SHADOW OR CLASH – If the planet is conjunct with Rahu and Ketu, that is called afflicted planet. Rahu and Ketu are severely passing on negativity to that planet, regardless of whether the planet is in direct motion or indirect motion. Any planet, which is conjunct with Rahu and Ketu or getting the influence of Rahu and Ketu by their aspect, वो affliction मानी जायेगी। राहु केतु उस planet की significations को destroy करेंगे। कौन सी significations? General significations and particular significations. That is also very important to understand. Let’s take this example only. अब यहां पर हम चन्द्रमा का ही example ले लें, which is getting the affliction from Rahu, so Moon is the sixth lord and Moon is the general significator of mother. Moon is the natural significator of 4th house. Moon का 4th house से कोई relation नहीं है, but Moon 4th house का general significator तो है। And that is getting the affliction from Rahu. So general signification of Moon, and when we say particular signification, the house that Moon is ruling, that is the particular signification. And the house where Moon is placed, or those significations, will be destroyed by Rahu.
IF NOT CONJUNCT AND IN THE SAME HOUSE – Yes. As I said, you have to look at their longitudinal difference. राहु का impact वहां पर कितना है? हम बार बार affliction from Rahu to Moon क्यों बोल रहे हैं? हम Rahu to Venus क्यों नहीं बोल रहे? क्योंकि Venus 14° का है। 14° के Venus पर Rahu का impact तो है, पर इतना close नहीं है। बहुत wide है। उस case में Rahu का जो negative impact Venus पर है, उतना नहीं होगा। Moreover, Venus इधर अपने ही मूलत्रिकोण sign में बैठा है। तो राहु का impact उस planet पर कितना close जा रहा है, that is what matters the most.
WHEN LOOKING AT THE ASPECTS, DOES ONE CONSIDER IMPACT OF PLANET ON HOUSE ONLY OR ON SIGN ALSO? FOR EXAMPLE IF JUPITER IS ASPECTING 7TH HOUSE IN SIMHA LAGNA CHART, IS IT CREATING RELATIONSHIP WITH SATURN AS LORD OF 7TH OR ONLY 7TH HOUSE? – When we say on house, then the significations of that house is also destroyed. Sign ही देखा जाएगा, क्योंकि अगर वह mooltrikona sign है, अब यहां पर हम ने बोला Mercury is placed in the ninth house. So 9th house की significations destroy हो गईं। और sign कौन सा है वहां पर, Libra. और Libra का
Lord कौन है – Venus. This is not a very good example to explain, क्योंकि वहां पर 9th house and ninth house same ही है। अगर lord जब different हो जाए, तब शायद आप को अच्छा समझ में आएगा। Let me take up any other example. अब यह 12° का ascendant है। So 12° is the MEP. और 13° पर मंगल placed है। 8th lord. Most malefic planet, afflicting the 12th house. अब 12th house में जब मंगल MEP पर placed है, तो 12th house की significations को मंगल destroy करेगा। Secondly, वहां sign कौन सा है? LEO, which is the मूलत्रिकोण sign of Sun. So Sun की significations भी destroy करेगा। Sun कहाँ placed है? Ascendant में। हम sign को भी देखेंगे, अगर यहां पर mooltrikona sign है, तो। अब शनि अगर MEP पर हो, और वह Scorpio में हो तो वह इतना matter नहीं करेगा। उस केस में sign का सिर्फ यही identification है, कि मूल त्रिकोण है कि नहीं। अगर मूल त्रिकोण है, तो उस के planet पर भी उस का impact आगे pass on हो जायेगा।
WHETHER EXALTED PLANET IN RETROGRADE MODE STILL WILL IT BE CONSIDERED EXALTED OR CONSIDERED AS DEBILITATED? – If the planet is exalted, it is exalted. Direct motion or retrograde motion से उस की stationarity का पता चलेगा, और retrograde motion का impact transit में ज्यादा महसूस होता है क्योंकि specially अगर वह slow moving है, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu की अगर बात करें, जो कि बहुत slow moving हैं और transit में 10° को cross करते हुए आगे जा रहे थे। Retrograde हो गए। वापिस 10° के ऊपर आ गए। फिर direct हो गए। फिर 10° को cross किया। तो kind of दो से ढाई महीने की उन की जो stationary movement है, और God forbid horoscope में 10° MEP हो, या कोई planet उन्हीं के impact में 10° में आ रहा हो, तो वह signification ढाई महीने के लिए अटक गयी। कोई बेचारा जेल से छूटने वाला हो, और ढाई महीने के लिए राहु केतु अटक गए, तो वह उस का कोर्ट केस और आगे लटक गया। So this is how we have to identify the retrograde motion while learning Vedic astrology step by step. Retrograde का natal chart में इतना ज्यादा impact नहीं है। और exalted हैं तो retrograde होने से debilitated नहीं होगा।
I ONLY MEANT REGARDING ASPECT – Aspect में भी वही बात है। अगर हम ने placement ले लिया, हम अगर aspect की बात करें, मंगल में यहाँ 4th aspect कहाँ जा रहा है? अगर हम आप के example की बात करें, मंगल का 4th aspect 3rd house में गया, तो house destroy हुआ। मंगल पर इसका कोई impact नहीं पड़ेगा। मंगल का आठवां aspect 7th house में गया। Jupiter पर इसका कोई impact नहीं पड़ेगा।
PLEASE EXPLAIN DEBILITATION AND EXALTATION ONCE – It is pretty straight forward. सीधा सा हमारा set formula है, set table है, कि अगर planet इस sign में placed है तो उस को exalted मानेंगे, उस sign में placed है तो debilitated मानेंगे। क्यों मानेंगे? That is altogether a different, very big topic. It is a very good question कि यह debilitated क्यों है? अगर यह आपका सवाल है कि इस sign में जा कर planet debilitated क्यों माना जाता है। सूर्य जो है, वह तुला में नीच का क्यों माना जाता है? मेष में उच्च का क्यों माना जाता है? मंगल कर्क में नीच का क्यों माना जाता है और मकर में उच्च का क्यों माना जाता है? इस क्यों का answer देने के लिए एक altogether different session की requirement है। तो वो हम एक अलग time पर cover करेंगे।

Challenges कहाँ कहाँ पर हैं। शादी होगी कि नहीं होगी। और अगला सवाल client का यही आएगा, होगी तो कब होगी? उस के लिए दशा table का भी आंकलन करना ज़रूरी है, transit भी देखना पड़ेगा। और जब यह करना आ गया, तो horoscope analyze करना आ गया। That is the final aim that we have.
